Southmont falls to Danville

Danville won at No. 3 singles and at Nos. 1 and 2 doubles, leading the Warriors to a 3-2 Sagamore Athletic Conference victory over Southmont Monday.

The loss dropped the Mounties to 3-5 and 2-2 in league action.
Southmont No. 1 singles Brody Nichols rebounded from a first-set loss to defeat Chris Mille 4-6, 6-4, 6-2. Number two singles player Jared Earle picked up the Mounties’ other win, beating Phillip Baldwin 6-0, 6-1.

Fountain Central 4, Seeger 1

Fountain Central combined to lose only six singles games, improving to 9-2 overall and 4-0 in Wabash River Conference action.
Mustang No. 1 singles player Bryce McTagertt defeated Colten Craigin 6-3, 6-0, No. 2 singles player Phillip Koonce defeated Graham Kennedy 6-0, 6-0 and No. 3 singles player Landon Davenport defeated Cameron Synessael 6-1, 6-2.

Attica 3, Turkey Run 2

The Ramblers No. 2 doubles team of Tristan Reece and Cameron Wilson overcame a first-set loss to beat Turkey Run’s Clayton Nevins and Jon Sowers in three sets.
Colin Brown won in three sets at No. 2 singles and the No. 1 doubles team of Nathan Smith and Austin Cook picked up a three-set victory.

Turkey Run plays Covington today.
