LINDEN — North Montgomery’s boys basketball team last year had its highest offensive average in Scott Radeker’s first seven seasons at the Charger helm.

Going along with its average of 66.2 points per game, North also had its highest defensive average in Radeker’s time at the helm, allowing opponents 59 points per game. Radeker knows his team has the shooters to put up some points again this season, but said his main focus will be defense.

“We have to get that defensive average down below 55 points per game,” said Radeker, who has led the Chargers to five straight winning seasons. “We have to get better defensively and work hard on the boards every game. Our offense will be fine.”
