VEEDERSBURG — North Montgomery’s girls basketball team was the “Rebounding Chargers” Tuesday night in a 48-37 win over Fountain Central.
A 50-30 advantage on the glass helped move North to 4-1on the season, while the Mustangs fell to 3-3. Both Heather Keiser and Nicole Kingma had 14 rebounds, but Keiser added 10 points for the double-double, and drew some of the defensive assignment on Fountain Central forward Natalie Robinson, who started for North last season but moved during the offseason. “I am so proud of these girls,” North coach Allison Skapin said. “They put everything together tonight. They were phenomenal.”
