The Women’s Legacy Fund recently distributed grants to four local organizations for 2019. A total of $11,300 was granted to CARA, Recovery Coalition, Half Way Home and Pam’s Promise.

The Women’s Legacy Fund educates and inspires women to identify and fund innovative ways to improve the lives of women and children in Montgomery County. Members make an annual gift to the fund through the Montgomery County Community Foundation, and then select grant recipients after hearing presentations from selected nonprofit applicants.

The Women’s Legacy Fund will meet next at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 29 at the Youth Service Bureau for an educational meeting on a topic affecting women and children. Anyone interested in joining the group is welcome to attend.
