New Hope Christian Church is planning four nights of Worship in the Park this summer.

The Crawfordsville Board of Public Works and Safety approved a request to close Pike Street for the event from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today and June 27 at Pike Place.

The public event will have music, games and food, including grilled hot dogs. Those planning to attend are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.

Worship in the Park is also planned for July 11 and July 25.

In other business, the board:

• Approved three bids for the Crawfordsville Street Department. Milestone Construction was awarded the bid for Community Crossings Paving Program work in the amount of $858,830 and Pavement Solutions Inc. was awarded $40,115 for crack and seal work. Milestone Construction also was awarded the bid for resurfacing on Tech Drive in the amount of $38,900.

• Approved a request for a sign to be posted at South Grace Avenue indicating a dead end with no outlet where East College Street ends in a small neighborhood.

• Approved a bid from Fire Service Inc. for $239,679 for a new ambulance for the Crawfordsville Fire/EMS Department.

• Approved mowing requests from Code Enforcement Officer Barry Lewis at 1171 E. Main St. and 809 E. Pike St.
