Alyssa Lynn Myers, daughter of Rita and Ronald Myers, is the valedictorian of Crawfordsville High School’s Class of 2019.

During her years at CHS, Myers has been involved in a multitude of activities. She has been an officer in several organizations including Spanish Club vice president, student council treasurer, class treasurer, yearbook editor, soccer captain and bowling captain. Other activities she has partaken in include tennis, National Honor Society, Rotary Club, Link Crew, Sunshine Society, Prom committee and FCA. Myers has also been a part of the fall play cast of CHS for three years, most recently starring in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime. She has also taken time along with her extracurricular activities to volunteer at places such as sporting events and the animal shelter.

Myers has had the honor to receive various awards and recognitions, including Rising Star of Indiana, Presidential Award for Top 15, Perfect Attendance since sixth grade, several department awards and more.

Myers will receive an Academic Honors diploma upon graduating from Crawfordsville High School. She will be attending Indiana University Bloomington as a direct admit to the Kelley School of Business. She plans to major in accounting/finance and management, as well as minoring in entrepreneurship. 

Sarah Chalmers, daughter of Mike and Julie Chalmers, is the salutatorian of Crawfordsville High School’s Class of 2019. 

During her time at CHS, Chalmers has been involved in several activities including Sunshine Society, FCA, National Honor Society and Spanish club where she served as the secretary her senior year. She was a member of the Blue Illusion Dance team all four years, and served as one of the captains her junior and senior year. She also played on the Lady Athenian tennis team.

Upon graduating with an Academic Honors diploma, Chalmers will be attending Purdue University, where she will be majoring in special education.
