Crawfordsville police are searching for a man and a woman who they believe ran from officers Monday morning.
Mandy R. Jones, 42, and Devin D. Ewoldt, 33, are wanted in connection with a traffic pursuit that ended near Camp Rotary Road.
Crawfordsville Chief of Police Mike Norman said an officer attempted to stop a white Ford F-150 truck at 5:29 a.m. Monday for a traffic violation and followed the vehicle west on U.S. 136.
Officers followed the vehicle to C.R. 150S and then to C.R. 325W. The pursuit went off road at some point on Camp Rotary Road.
A Crawfordsville police cruiser was totaled in the pursuit because of the off-road terrain, with “sever undercarriage and engine damage.”
The pursuit lasted approximately 12 minutes. When officers located the vehicle, no driver or passenger could be found.
The pursuit is still under investigation, Norman said.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Crawfordsville Police Department at 765-362-3300.
Jones is wanted in Hendricks County on a warrant for a pretrial release violation. She’s facing pending charges of dealing and possession of methamphetamine.
Ewoldt has pending charges in Montgomery County for operating a vehicle after being a habitual traffic offender.
