Firefighters from the Crawfordsville Fire Department were called to RR Donnelly’s South Plant Wednesday just after 10 a.m. when a small fire broke out in the facility’s CTM area. CFD Assistant Chief Jim Fulwider said 13 firefighters spent about 90 minutes extinguishing smoldering paper dust and hot spots. All employees were evacuated from the plant. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time. Fulwider said a company representative for RR Donnelly said there was no significant damage cause by the fire. Calls to Donnelly’s corporate office in Chicago were not returned as of press time.
