The Montgomery County Historical Society will celebrate the holidays in Madison and go whale watching in New England on upcoming trips.

MCHS travels to Madison on Dec. 7 for the Candlelight Tour of Homes, showcasing homes and businesses decorated for Christmas. The trip includes time for shopping and lunch on your own, daytime and nighttime home and business tours and dinner at Clifty Falls State Park Inn.

Cost is $100 for members and $110 for non-members. Payment secures a seat on the bus. No refunds will be made unless the trip is cancelled. Call 765-362-3416 or email to reserve a seat.

A group will take a 10-day bus trip to Maine and Cape Cod, Massachusetts from Sept. 12-21. The package includes lodging; meals; a tour of Portland, Maine; Perkins Cove; a narrated Harbor Cruise of Casco Bay; Boothba Harbor; Eatha - Revolving/Rotating Globe; Kennebunkport; L.L. Bean & Dexter Factory Outlets; Nubble Lighthouse; Provincetown, including a whale watching cruise; Historic Sandwich; Hyannis area, including Kennedy memorial and Main Street; high-speed ferry to Martha’s Vineyard; Cape Cod Canal Visitor’s Center; Hyannis Harbor Cruise with a view of the Kennedy compound; luggage handling; taxes and meal gratuities.
