Wayne Crowder of Crawfordsville passed away Monday, Oct. 7, 2019, at home. He was 74.

Wayne attended school at Grange Corner and graduated from Crawfordsville High School. He served his country in the Army, stationed in Germany.  He worked at Hoosier Crown (HC) for many years and also with the State Highway Department. He liked to go hunting and fishing.

Born May 17, 1945, in Parke County, he was the son of Eston Crowder and Helena Newman Crowder.

Surviving family includes: two sons, Ronald L. (Robin) Crowder of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, and Bill Crowder of Crawfordsville; daughter Rhonda Niece of Crawfordsville; five sisters; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; two brothers; and granddaughter Ashley Crowder.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15 at Burkhart Funeral Home. Services will begin at 1 p.m., followed by a burial at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Rockville.
