Josephine “Josie” F. Cranfill, 16, of Brownsburg passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2019.

Josie, a beautiful and beloved girl growing into a young lady, was born July 15, 2003, at Indianapolis. She was a sophomore at Brownsburg High School. In addition to being a remarkable and talented artist, she was passionate about many things, but especially loved animals, trees, music and candy.

Josie is survived by her loving parents, Amy (Mike) Smith and Matthew (Diane) of Brownsburg; maternal grandparents, Darrell (Vickie) Cope and Helen Spidel; paternal grandparents, Linda and Gordon Cranfill; sisters, Maddie Cranfill and Lexi (Justin) Jensen; and countless friends and extended family members.

Friends and family will gather together 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8 in the Parkside Bible Church, 7950 North C.R. 650E, Brownsburg.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9 at the church. Burial will be private following the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts are encouraged to the Hendricks County Humane Society or the Montgomery County Animal Welfare League.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of funeral director Eric MD Bell of Pittsboro.
