William “Bill” L. Phillips, 55, of Crawfordsville passed away Friday, Aug. 9, 2019, peacefully with family and friends beside him after a long battle with cancer.

He was born Oct. 2, 1963, at Crawfordsville, the son of Danny Phillips and Deloris (Don) Cotten.

Bill graduated from Southmont High School in New Market. He installed floor covering for many years. He enjoyed leather working and loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping with his friends and family. He loved spending time with his dogs, Abby and Bailey. Friends and family will always remember him for his kind heart and great personality.

He is survived by his significant other, Linda McCurrey of Crawfordsville; daughter SumyrRaine Phillips of Norristown, Pennsylvania; mother Deloris (Don) Cotten of Crawfordsville; father Danny Phillips of Crawfordsville; three sisters, Victoria Brown of Waveland, Michelle (David) O’Hair of Martinsville and Jennifer (Mark) Nicholson of Covington, Georgia. He also has many loving uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

A celebration of life in honor of Bill will be held at a later date. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
