Accident leaves reader shaken

To the woman who struck me with her car on Mother’s Day at Kroger in Crawfordsville. I was in shock when you backed into me, hitting my leg. I didn’t know what to say to you. My children and niece were with me and I am so grateful you didn’t hit any of them or injure me any worse than you did in front of three kids.

When this happened my adrenaline went through the roof, so I didn’t feel the damage you did until the next morning when I woke up.

How you in your new fancy white car didn’t see the four of us I will probably never know. I feel like it was a genuine accident and you didn’t intend to hit me, but maybe being more aware of your surroundings could help you in never doing this kind of thing again. I’m not looking for you I don’t need anything from you, I just want to make sure that it is crystal clear to you the damage you caused with your reckless, careless actions.

Thanks for the Mother’s Day gift of a knot on the side of my foot and on my left thigh, which is now covered in the most painful bruise I’ve had in my life.
