CAMPECHE, Mexico (AP) -- Nick Torres hit a two-run homer in the eighth inning, leading the Pericos de Puebla to a 5-4 win over the Piratas de Campeche on Saturday.

The home run by Torres scored Danny Ortiz to give the Pericos a 5-3 lead.

In the bottom of the ninth, Campeche cut into the deficit on a solo home run by C.J. Retherford.

Starter Felix Doubront (1-1) got the win while Wilfredo Ledezma (0-2) took the loss in relief in the Mexican League game.

In the losing effort, the Piratas hit a season-high four home runs. Retherford homered twice and doubled, scoring a couple of runs while also driving home two for the Piratas.
