GREENCASTLE — It didn’t take Terre Haute South very long to earn a berth in today’s regional championship against Fountain Central with a 5-0 win over Crawfordsville in a match played at th indoor courts at DePauw University.

“We were outclassed today” Crawfordsville coach Barry Morton said. “I can’t fault our guys or their effort. We played hard but we were just out gunned a bit today.”

All five matches went to the Braves in straight sets, but Crawfordsville made it a little tough at No. 1 doubles. In the match, Crawfordsville George Go and Logan Hayes were defeated by Reed Crawford and Scott Keller by scores of 6-3, 6-3.

“They came out aggressive and that is what they needed to do,” Morton said. “We were able to break their serves a couple of times but we just didn’t have the firepower to get it done.”
