Mounties blaze past Sheridan
Saturday night Southmont traveled to Sheridan for their second game of the season vs the Blackhawks. In what was an all-around dominating performance by the Mounties, they moved to 2-0 on the season with 73-20 win.
Avery Saunders continued his strong start leading the Mounties with 21 points. Carson Chadd recorded 13 and Logan Oppy 11. Eight different Mounties got in on the scoring action in the win.
Southmont will have the week to prepare for a county and conference showdown as they travel to take on North Montgomery Friday night.
Mustangs wrap up Topper Classic with 2-3 record.
While most teams are still playing their first or second game of the season, Fountain Central has alredy played five games.
The Mustangs wrapped the Topper Classic Saturday with two games. The first was a 60-36 defeat at the hands of St. Thomas Moore (IL) and the second was a close 43-42 loss versus Bismark Henning (IL).
The Mustangs wrap up the Topper Classic with a 2-3 record and will get a much deserved rest before hitting the road once again to take on Clinton Central Friday night.
