The Maple Grove Homemakers met at 1:30 p.m. March 16 at the home of Rita Kirkpatrick. President Judy McBride opened the meeting with a welcome to each member.

We recited the pledges, Homemaker Creed and Mission Statement. Roll call was answered with,“an Irish Blessing” that McBride had prepared for each of the seven members present.

We signed cards to be sent to Lou Rosen, Betty Jeffers and Claudine Whalen.

Minutes were read by Kirkpatrick and approved. Treasurer report was given by McBride.

We had two birthdays this month and we sang Happy Birthday to Minnie Howard and Carol Vice.

We collected Dimes for Friendship and Nickels for Leadership. Our yearly dues for the club were also collected.

Lightle made the motion that we elect the following as officers for the upcoming year and it was seconded by Howard. Motion carried and the newly-elected officers for the upcoming year 2026-27 are: Judy McBride, president; Carol Vice, vice president; Rita Kirkpatrick, secretary/public relations; Sandra Lightle, treasurer; Eileen Matricia, health and safety; Judy Tulley, membership; and Linda Miller/Carol Crowder, song leaders.

The District meeting was Monday in Brook and those attending were McBride, Tulley, Howard, Miller, Vice and Kirkpatrick.

We closed the meeting by reciting the Extension Homemaker’s Prayer. We had refreshments and wished each other a Happy St. Patrick’s Day.

Our meeting next month will be at 1:30 p.m. April 21 at Lightle’s home.
