The Crawfordsville Street Department put up a new stop sign Thursday at the corner of West Pike and Walnut streets. The city council previously approved the placement of the new sign creating a three-way stop.
This is a new sign. Previously, drivers did not have to stop if they were proceeding eastbound. Now, if you are traveling eastbound on West Pike you must now stop when you get to the Walnut Street intersection.
This is the intersection before arriving at Pike Place and South Washington Street.
Please use caution when approaching this area until everyone becomes acquainted with the new signs.
