The Town Council of the Town of New Market, Indiana, on September 9, 2020 adopted Ordinance No. 2020-02, a full copy of which is on file in the Office of the Clerk Treasurer of the Town of New Market, 101 West Main, New Market, Indiana:


This Ordinance shall be known as the Town of New Market Ordinance on Regulation of Recreational Vehicles.

Prohibited Conduct

The Town of New Market finds that health, welfare, safety and property values are negatively affected by individuals living in recreational vehicles and tents within the Town limits, and such conduct shall be regulated within the town.

Enforcement, Penalties and Appeals

This Ordinance may be enforced by the authorized agents of the Town Council or by a law enforcement agency.

Fees: Any person, firm, or corporation who violates any provision of this ordinance shall be fined in an amount of $50.00 and may be subject to other penalties provided in the New Market Town Code. A separate offense shall be deemed committed upon each day during which a violation occurs or continues after the notice to abate under this Ordinance is served.

This Ordinance shall take effect upon adoption and publication in accordance with the requirements of law. This Ordinance repeals any ordinances or parts thereof in conflict herewith.

Adopted by the New Market Town Council on the 9th day of September, 2020.
