Dollar General Rejection: NIMBY rules again. I am sure those who have limited financial resources and have to drive to C'ville for everything would disagree. Small town grocery stores are a thing of the past. DG is filling in the food desert gaps in these areas. Did the council actually look at traffic and incident data for the intersection or did they rely on oral anecdotal information? I would suggest they allow the DG store but insist it be DG Market that is a full-service grocery store.
