A fire Sunday on the city’s west side destroyed a garage Sunday.
Crawfordsville firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire at 11:10 a.m. in the 1000 block of West Main Street. When they arrived they found the garage fully engulfed in flames. The fire was threatening three nearby structures. Crews attacked the fire while protecting the surrounding buildings and brought the blaze under control within 15 minutes.
The residents were home at the time. No one was injured.
Crawfordsville police blocked off traffic in the area during the response.
Fire officials believe the cause of the fire to be accidental.
