Four Parke Heritage High School musicians participated in the annual Indiana Bandmasters Association All-District Band hosted at Northview High School on Nov. 19-20. Performing were Treyton Burgess, piccolo; Ashlyn Hybarger, clarinet; and Alison Nicholas and Aidan Gillooly, trombones. They joined the 90 students from 15 area schools to perform a concert on Sunday afternoon. On Saturday, the group rehearsed for over six hours to prepare for the concert. Guest conductor for the event was Dr. Stephen L. Gage who is serving as the Interim Director of Bands in the Indiana State University School of Music. The All District Band provides an opportunity for high school musicians to perform with other young musicians and work with highly respected music educators and conductors.
