Anne Bernadette Veach, 76, of Oak Island, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021.

She was born Oct. 22, 1944, at Newfoundland, Canada.

Anne spent the first half of her adult life raising her four children. She loved to sew, knit and crochet. She then went to nursing school at Purdue University and became a registered nurse. She spent many years caring for others in hospitals and home health care. She retired from nursing after her marriage to Don. She spent many years working in her garden as well as knitting and crocheting. She loved to design and give away her creations to anyone that asked. Her payment was the joy it brought others.

Survivors include: her four children, Sarah Bennington, James Bennington, Barbara Williams and husband Edward, and Rob Bennington and partner Michelle Dobish; eight grandchildren, John Williams, Ben Williams, Catherine Andersen, Jordan Boykin, Tanner Morris, Nikki Bennington, Tony Bennington and Eryn Bennington; seven great-grandchildren, Taylor, Braylon, Jocelyn, Evan, Garnet, Curk and Easton; and sister Sadie Ennis.

She was preceded in death by her husband Don; parents, James and Maryann Griffiths; five brothers, Bill, Johnny, Gerry, Ray and Bob; and two sisters, Rebecca and Marietta.

In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held.
