Class A Sectional 53 @ Riverton Parke
Fountain Central will make the trip to Montezuma as Riverton Parke hosts this seven team sectional. The Mustangs will see a familiar face in WRC foe Covington for a third time this season as the Mustangs and Trojans will square off in game three on Tuesday, May 24. The first two match ups between FC and Covington were both decided by a combined three runs with the Trojans taking the win in each matchup. The winner between Fountain Central and Covington will take on the winner between host Riverton Parke and Attica.
North Vermillion and Lafayette Central Catholic make up the top half of the bracket with that winner getting Faith Christian who received the bye.
Class 2A Sectional 38 @ Southmont
The Mounties get the luxury of hosting the Class 2A Sectional 38. Southmont is joined by Clinton Prairie, Western Boone, Seeger, and Delphi.
Southmont will need just a single victory in order to play for a sectional championship as they will take on Clinton Prairie in the first semi-final. Western Boone drew the bye and will play the winner of game one’s contest between Delphi and Seeger.
Class 3A Sectional 25 @ Lebanon
North Montgomery and Crawfordsville will both travel to Lebanon to compete in the Class 3A Sectional 25. The five team sectional features host Lebanon, Tri-West, Frankfort, and the Athenians and Chargers.
North Montgomery and the Athenians will both get tough tests in their openers as the Chargers will take on Tri-West in game one of the sectional while CHS will take on Lebanon in the first semi-final. The Hot Dogs drew the bye and will face the winner of the Chargers and Bruins.
Baseball
Class 2A Sectional 38 @ Delphi
Fountain Central baseball will be at Delphi as the Oracles host the Class 2A Sectional 38. Fountain Central drew Seeger in game one with Western Boone getting the bye and facing the winner of the Mustangs and Patriots. The other two teams rounding out the sectional include Clinton Prairie and host Delphi. The host Oracles and Gophers will meet in the first semi-final.
Class 2A Sectional 44 @ Parke Heritage
The Southmont Mounties will compete in the Class 2A Sectional 44 which will be hosted by Parke Heritage. Southmont drew Cloverdale and will play the Clovers in the first semi-final. The other three teams rounding out the sectional include North and South Putnam who drew one another and will play in game one. The host Wolves drew the bye and will wait to play the winner between the Eagles and Cougars.
Class 3A Sectional 25 @ Crawfordsville
The always tough Class 3A Sectional 25 will stay in Montgomery County again this season, but this time be hosted by Crawfordsville. Along with host Athenians, North Montgomery also will be playing at CHS. The four other teams include South Vermillion, Frankfort, Lebanon and defending sectional champion in the Northview Knights.
The Chargers drew Lebanon and will play the Tigers in game one while the Athenians will take on Northview in the second semi-final. The South Vermillion and Frankfort winner will take on the winner between the Chargers and Tigers while the CHS Northview winner will get a berth in the sectional championship.
