Crawfordsville completed their journey to repeat as the local sectional champions on Wednesday. The Athenians swept Lebanon for the title with a 5-0 score.
The Athenians were dominate during the entire tournament.
Crawfordsville’s No. 1 singles player Reagan Cox defeated Lucie Cassis 6-1, 6-2 and No. 2 singles player CC Cox won 6-2, 6-3 over Bady Malevich. The Athenian No. 3 singles player Caroline Bowling defeated Lana Haimova 6-1, 6-2.
The Athenian doubles teams won by surrendering just four games.
The Crawfordsville No. 1 doubles team of Isla Seward and Alayna Hall won 6-0, 6-1 over Beatrice Johnson and Anna Howard.
The Athenian No. 2 doubles team of Emma Buser and Elliot Baker defeated Lucy Cooper and Allie Nichous 6-1, 6-2.
Crawfordsville’s record is 16-3 and will advance to the Lebanon Regional on Tuesday to take on the winner of the Zionsville sectional.
