Crawfordsville defeated Sagamore Athletic Conference Danville 4-3 on Tuesday.
The Athenians were able to stave off the Warriors after jumping out to a 4-1 first inning lead.
Crawfordsville starting pitcher Jude Coursey held off Danville by pitching 6.1 innings and striking out 12. The senior walked three and allowed six hits.
Coursey was able to pitch out of trouble when Danville had runners in scoring position in the fifth and sixth innings.
Crawfordsville (2-3-1, 1-0 SAC) took advantage of two walks, a Warrior error and a Henry Bannon single to score their four runs in the first inning.
Coursey had a double and singles by Bannon and Landon Gerold gave Crawfordsville their three hits.
Bannon earned a save by pitching the last out of the game with two Warriors on base.
The two teams battled on Wednesday at Danville (0-4, 0-1 SAC).
