Athens Arts Gallery invites the community to explore four unique local art venues from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday.
Celebrate Unity in the Diversity of Culture while enjoying diverse eats, entertainment and art. Ticket holders will travel among four Montgomery County art galleries and experience live entertainment, taste international appetizers and sample wines of the world. Explore an intriguing variety of art at each location.
At Green Street Gallery listen to spoken word poetry readings. Visit Athens Arts Gallery to watch live art demonstrations by member artists Alice Harpel, Kathryn J. Houghton and Kenya Ferrand-Ott. Stop at Created By to enjoy live music by Kenn Clark. Move to the rhythm of Wamidan World Music while checking out more than 100 pieces of local art at the Montgomery County Government Center.
An added bonus of this celebration is a unique selection of specially-commissioned pottery plates crafted by local artisan Amy Westphal of Amy Westphal Pottery and by Diana May of Muddog Pottery, located in Battle Ground. These hand-crafted dishes will be sold exclusively at Athens Arts Gallery to commemorate this springtime celebration of the arts.
