Barbara Louise Miner Pendleton, 94, a former New Richmond resident, passed away at 2 a.m. Friday, July 30, 2021, in the Indiana Veterans Home, West Lafayette, where she had resided since 2017.

She was born Feb. 17, 1927, at Lafayette, daughter of the late Arthur R. and Grace Pittaway Miner. She married Roy James Pendleton Sr. on Dec. 19, 1947, at Wateska, Illinois. He preceded her in death Nov. 15, 1978.

Barbara was a homemaker, and resided in New Richmond from 1965 to 2017 when her health failed and she moved to the Indiana Veterans Homes. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, Crawfordsville. Barbara  enjoyed Bingo and her flowers.

Surviving are two daughters, Kathleen Phillips of Lafayette and Diana (Bailey) Weaver of Leesburg, Florida; son Roy James (Kristin) Pendleton of West Point; sister Meredith (Jerry) Heiser of Avon; brother Martin (Becky) Miner of Brazil; four grandchildren, Dawn and Natalie Lidester, both of Linden, Evan Weaver of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, and Jacob Pendleton of Lafayette; five great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter Elaine Lidester; brother William Miner; infant brother Harold; and grandson Paul Anthony Pendleton.

Private family graveside services and burial will be held in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate is assisting Barbara’s family.
