His family calls him “Hank the Tank.”
Bailey Barker’s goat, who won grand champion meat wether at the Montgomery County 4-H Fair, is small in stature but makes up for his height with his strength.
“He’s such a little goat but is so packed with the muscling and the skeletal structure [judges] look for,” said Barker, a nine-year 4-H member.
Hank arrived in March and Barker credits Matt Martin for helping introduce her to the boar business.
Barker also showed the grand champion full blooded junior doe in this year’s show.
She is the daughter of A.J. and Alison Barker of Ladoga and a member of the Clark Hustling Hoosiers 4-H club.
Her other 4-H projects include sheep and photography.
