A new gas station is being planned for the former Admiral property on East Market Street, Mayor Todd Barton confirmed on Monday.
Property owners demolished the long-vacant building on the site last week.
The property is owned by Young Group LLC of Carmel, property records show. State business records do not list a phone number for the company.
Young Group received variances from the city reducing the setback requirements from the property lines, Barton said. The property is about a quarter of an acre.
