Lakeside Book Company recognized Dennis Beach for his 35 years of outstanding service on Nov. 9.
Beach’s journey began after a summer internship in 1989, when he joined as a software developer working on the Donnelley Digital Page Imposition system, which later became patented. Following the Stream division’s closure, Beach transitioned to prepress technical support and later joined IT support, where he continues to make an invaluable impact.
Beach carries forward a family legacy at Lakeside — his grandfather, Morris Beach, worked as a linotype operator in Department A during the 1970s.
Beyond his professional dedication, Beach is a musician, composer and arranger, performing with the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene praise team. He also plays trombone with the Montgomery County Civic Band and violin with the Wabash College Chamber Orchestra. In his free time, he enjoys kayaking, computer gaming and spending time with his family — wife Melanie, daughter and son-in-law Josie and Leif Murray and son Evan Beach.
