Betty Jean (Keller) Rowings, 90, of Kingman passed away peacefully Friday, March 19, 2021, at home.
She was born June 8, 1930, at Yeddo, to the late Harry R. and Geneva L. (Crowder) Keller.
Betty graduated from Covington High School in 1948 and Danville Area Community College with a nursing degree. On March 1964 she married Howard E Rowings, who preceded her in death April 26, 1999. Throughout the years she was a nurse and worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Illinois for 10 years, St. Vincent Hospital in Williamsport for 17 years, and Covington Manor. She also owned and operated Betty’s Beauty Shop out of the back of her house for 18 years. She was always working and loved being around people. She enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting. She was a member of Prairie Creek Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Cindy (Byron) Denny and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Howard; son Charles Allen; daughter Jamie Crane; and brother Robert Keller.
There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. Monday, March 22 at Centennial Cemetery, with Pastor Loren Stephens officiating. Sanders Funeral Care entrusted with care.
