Betty Lou (Morris) Deck, 74, of Waynetown passed away Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021, at Franciscan Health Lafayette East.
She was born Oct. 24, 1946, at Crawfordsville, to the late Bruce and Louise (Bryant) Morris.
Betty graduated from New Market High School in 1964 and also Indiana Business College. On Nov. 17, 1966, she married the love of her life, Jack Deck, who survives.
She was a loving mother and homemaker. Throughout the years she worked at Mid-States Wire, was an EMT in Waynetown, and was the manager at the F&F Mart for many years. She was also a den mother for Cub Scouts, president of Womens Aglow Club and a member of the New Market Baptist Church. She enjoyed drinking her Coke, talking on the phone and was a huge animal lover. She was faithful and loved her Lord and Savior.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jack Deck of Waynetown; her children, Kirby (Adriana) Deck and Kellie (Aaron) Harpel, both of Crawfordsville; five grandchildren, Samuel, Alicia, Trinity, Nikki (Adrian) and Griffin; great-granddaughter Harper; sister Judy Brewster; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister Patti (Fred) Zimmerman.
Visitation will be at Shoemaker Sanders Funeral Care, 202 Bratton Road, Waynetown, on Tuesday, March 2 from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m., with Pastor Tami Mussche officiating. The service will be live-streamed and recorded which can be viewed on her obituary page at www.sandersfuneralcare.com. Burial will follow at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Montgomery County Animal Welfare League.
