Betty May Bair, 87, of Terre Haute and formerly of Crawfordsville, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care in Terre Haute.
She was born Aug. 13, 1933, the daughter of Arthur Tate and Pearl Louise Nelson Shotts. She married William Bair on June 11, 1976, and he died in 1990.
Betty graduated from Reynolds High School in Reynolds, Indiana. She retired from Lithonia Lighting after 23 years of service.
She is survived by three children, Bruce Norton (Patty), Susan Query (Jack) and Tina McDaniel (Mark); seven grandchildren, Jeremy Norton (Amanda), Heidi Alspaugh (David), Silas Query (Angie), Lacy Wooten (Kyle), Sheena Lenover (Robert), Amy Bays (James) and Andy McDaniel (Sheryl); 16 great-grandchildren, Dayln Norton, Shelby Alspaugh, Gracie Norton, Jeremy Norton, Megan Query, Mason Query, Luke Wooten, Isabelle Wooten, Ethan Wooten, Hadlee Lenover, Chance Howard, Chase Howard, Cash Howard, Hunter McDaniel, Hutson McDaniel and Easton McDaniel; and one great-great-grandson Hank Howard. Also surviving are her sister, Loretta Lee, and her brother, Dan Tate (Barb).
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Gene Tate.
Cremation has been chosen with private family services. Care has been entrusted to Barnes and Rice Funeral Home of Rockville.
