COVINGTON — Purdue University Extension and University of Illinois Extension are collaborating to offer the annual Bi-State Garden Conference Jan. 23, at the Beef House Restaurant, 16501 State Road 63, Covington. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. EST (4:30 p.m. CST), and dinner will be from 6-6:45 p.m. EST. There will be two, one-hour presentations, concluding at 8:45 p.m.
This year’s lineup includes:
• The Story Behind All-America Selections & Trending Recent Winners by Diane Blazek, executive director All-America Selections and National Garden Bureau
• Pruning Small Trees & Shrubs with Ryan Pankau, horticulture educator, University of Illinois Extension
The cost for the program is $25, which includes dinner, payable at the door or online. If interested in Master Gardener Education credit, discuss with your county Master Gardener coordinator.
Pre-registration is requested by calling 765-364-6363 or online at https://go.illinois.edu/GardenConf. Register by noon Jan. 20 to guarantee a spot.
Dietary restrictions can be communicated through the online registration or with the extension office.
