Members of the Crawfordsville Board of Public Works & Safety lifted the unsafe building order given to one downtown site.
The order at 117 E. Market St. was rescinded Wednesday now that the structure has been taken down and is no longer a hazard to the community.
In other business, the board:
• Approved a request made by Wabash College for a street closure at the Crawford Street and Milligan Street intersection on campus to utilize a crane to set a new transformer on the west side of the Allen Center. The intersection was closed Thursday.
• Approved an agreement between the city and Brandbutter Creative to create a promotional video for the city. The funding amount is not to exceed $17,915.
• Approved an agreement between the city, Ratcliff Inc. and Diamond Ridge Homeowner Association regarding subdivision streets and maintenance of common areas. Ratcliff has agreed to repair and maintain the subdivision’s streets for a period of up to 10 years.
• Accepted the following streets in Diamond Ridge Subdivision as city streets: Crestwood Avenue, Diamond Lane, Bentley Drive, Abbey Lane, Driftwood Avenue and Crestwood Avenue.
• Approved an agreement between the city and three separate artists, Jenna Morello, Anthony Brooks and Wes Arbaca, for their concepts submitted for the upcoming mural on South Green Street. Each artist will be paid $750 for their concepts, they were chosen out of 117 submissions. The mural is being funded by a READI grant.
