Mounties sweep Tiger Cubs

The Southmont boys’ tennis team improved to 9-2 on the season with a 5-0 sweep of Greencastle on Wednesday.

Adam Cox beat Holton Miller 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, while Luke Tesmer beat Eli Hardwick 6-4, 6-2 at No. 2 singles, and Hayden Hess beat Jacob Carter 6-3, 6-0 in the No. 3 slot.

The duo of Mason Hall and Caden Jones beat Jay Glotzbach and Eli Callahan 6-3, 6-4 at No. 1 doubles, while Harrison Haddock and Chayce Howell defeated Andrew Adams and Evan Harris 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.

Mustangs sweep Red Ramblers

The Fountain Central boys’ tennis team improved to 6-4 on the season with a 5-0 sweep of Wabash River Conference foe Attica on Wednesday.

Skyler Hoagland beat Caiden Jeffries 7-5, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, while Gabe McCollum beat Gage Greeson 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles and the duo of Carter Merryman and Brayden Prickett won 6-1, 6-0 over Jake Garrett and Noah Blankenship at No. 1 doubles. Koby Wolf received a forfeit at No. 3 singles as did Noah Armstrong and Lukas Miller at No. 2 doubles.
