Campbell named Communications Director

Crawfordsville Mayor Todd Barton announced the recent promotion of Sarah Campbell from director of the city’s collaborative co-working studio, Fusion 54 to the city’s communications director position. Campbell comes with a passion for promoting Crawfordsville and experience in storytelling to diverse stakeholders.

Campbell, received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Ferris State University and her master’s degree in student affairs and higher education from Indiana State University. Prior to her role at Fusion 54, she was the assistant director of Front Desk Operations at Indiana State University.

“This is a key position dedicated to furthering the City of Crawfordsville’s story and milestones,” Barton said. “Sarah has demonstrated her ability to capture the essence of who we are as a community and capitalize on opportunities to showcase our innovation and brand.”

“Joining the City of Crawfordsville’s team last July was the perfect way for me to get more involved and connected with the community that I live in,” Campbell said. “Moving into this new role as Director of Communications is something I am really looking forward to — Crawfordsville has a story and I am excited to have the opportunity to tell it!”

As communications director, Campbell will provide outreach and timely information to the community and the news media concerning city services, policies, major projects, and community events.

Campbell and her fiancé Nick Sommer live in Crawfordsville.
