Carol “Janie” Jane Dice McManomy, 73, of Lafayette went home to be with the Lord at 4:15 a.m. Monday, June 14, 2021, at Franciscan Health Lafayette East.

Janie was born June 15, 1947, at Crawfordsville, the daughter of Joseph Thompson Dice and Barbara Ellen (Newman) Dice Ludlow. Janie was a 1965 graduate of Veedersburg High School.

Janie had a passion for animals and had worked at Veedersburg Vet Clinic. She also worked as a surgical tech at Lafayette Home Hospital. Janie worked as a quality control supervisor at Vulcan Quarry in Lafayette. She was a member of the Sterling Christian Church.

Janie enjoyed cooking, especially with her son, Jeff. She loved being with her family. One of her fondest memories was going with her family to see Elvis at Graceland.

Surviving are mother Barbara Ludlow of Lafayette; son Jeffrey Scott McManomy (Robyn) of Lafayette; siblings, Sandra K. Dice Harrison (Bill) of Veedersburg and Betty Joann Dice Plank (Steve) of Crawfordsville; grandson Andrew McManomy (Emily) of Phoenix, Arizona; several cousins, nieces and nephews; and beloved cocker spaniel, Amazing Grace.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Dice, and step-father, Richard Ludlow.

Visitation will be held from noon until the time of the service at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 19 at Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg. Pastor Gary Johnson will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Bonebrake Cemetery.
