Cliston Leon Coverdale, 85, of Veedersburg passed away Friday, April 2, 2021, in his residence.
He retired from RR Donnelley and Sons Company in Crawfordsville with 41 1/2 years of service. He was also a pastor for 10 years with the Apostolic Church in Veedersburg and Mellott.
He was born Dec. 13, 1935, at Kingman, to the late Leon D. Coverdale and Ruby May Bonebrake Coverdale.
Survivors include: his wife of 64 years, Lois Keller Coverdale, whom he married June 2, 1956, at Judson; his children, Deborah (Dale) Linville of Kentland, Rodger (Susie) Coverdale of Monticello, Rebecca (Terry) Lovins of Port Charlotte, Florida and Rhonda Coverdale of Veedersburg; sister Shielda (Mike) Aikman of Terre Haute; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by sister Patricia Leonard-Teague.
He was a 1953 graduate of Rockville High School and attended Indiana State University. He was a board member and elder of New Life Fellowship Church in Terre Haute and member of United Pentecostal Church International. He was a talented artist and enjoyed spending time with family.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 6 at Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home, 287 N. Main St., Rosedale, with Pastor Jeffrey Harpole officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery. Visitation is from noon until 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home.
