Clova L. Watt of Crawfordsville passed away Wednesday night, March 24, 2021 at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was 77.

Mrs. Watt loved Elvis and loved to play Bingo. She loved her family and was the caregiver who took care of many of the kids in her family and her neighborhood. She worked at Dickerson’s Package Liquor for 15 years, Crawfordsville School Corp. and Hi-Tek.

Born Oct. 11, 1943 in Crawfordsville, she was the daughter of Fred Conkright and Geneva Brown Conkright. She graduated from Linden High School in 1962. She married Jerry Watt Sr. on Nov. 12, 1976. He survives.

Surviving family includes: husband, Jerry Watt, Sr.; three sons, Jerry Watt, Jr., Scott (Emily) Watt Timothy (Amanda) Emerson; three daughters, Jenny (Steve) Bennett, Brittney (Darin) Browning, April (Troy) Sams; four step-sons, Larry, Mike, Rick (Mary), David (Jesse); one step-daughter, Debbe (Jeremy) Behling; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a step-son, Daniel Watt, three sisters, Cheryl Cope, Nancy Conkright, Narvella Jones and four brothers, Jack, Clayton, Teryl and Rovene Conkright.

A gathering in memory of Clova Watt will be held on Monday, March 29 at Burkhart Funeral Home from 4 to 6 p.m. Memorial services will begin at 6 p.m., led by Ron Brown.
