Cole earns IYSA award

Posted

Cameron Cole from the Montgomery County Youth Service Bureau received the 2021 IYSA Youth Work Newcomer of the Year from the Indiana Youth Services Association.

This award recognizes those new (less than five years in the field) emerging leaders in the field of youth work. Their passion and contributions have made a positive impact to the lives of youth and families, or their co-workers, programs or agencies.

Cole was nominated for this award due to his passion and commitment to serving youth, his excellent skills and his professionalism.

“Even though Cameron is a younger/newer professional, he has shown a true passion for helping others,” said Karen Branch, YSB executive director. “He is so caring and compassionate and is truly committed to helping the youth of Montgomery County.”

The IYSA conducts an annual business meeting in Indianapolis. Unfortunately, again this year’s event was canceled due to safety around COVID-19. Each winner was presented their award and videotaped to capture their reactions.
