The Indiana House of Representatives is honored to partner with the Indiana American Legion this session to collect needed hygiene and food items for homeless Hoosier veterans.
Sadly, the number of veterans in our state without permanent housing increased 6% just in the last year.
You can support this cause by bringing donations to collection sites at the Indiana Statehouse. A list of the most-needed items can be found here. You can also write a check payable to the American Legion Department of Indiana, and mail it to 5440 Herbert Lord Road, Indianapolis, IN 46216. In the memo section, write “Homeless Veterans Donation Drive.”
Our goal is to assemble 500 care packages that the Indiana Legion will distribute statewide to veterans in need.
