The Pentecostals of Crawfordsville will pay tribute to local police and firefighters, first responders and current and retired military personnel to commemorate the 19th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.
A Community Appreciation Day is set for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in front of the church, 116 S. Walnut St. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be served free to personnel and their families.
The church traditionally holds a service at the 9/11 memorial on the anniversary of the attacks, but this year’s event could not be held as usual due to the pandemic.
