The City of Crawfordsville and the Mayor’s County-wide Workforce Development Roundtable will have a job fair from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 26 at the Montgomery County 4-H Building, 400 Parke Ave., Crawfordsville.

For individuals looking for a job, a fresh start or a career change, job seekers can find a variety of opportunities at this free job fair. A number of local employers from a variety of industry sectors are looking to hire for immediate openings in a wide range of fields. This job fair is open to the entire community.

“We know from listening to our local employers that there is abundant opportunity in Crawfordsville and Montgomery County, and we greatly appreciate those employers taking time to participate in the job fair to make that opportunity available to those seeking it,” Crawfordsville Mayor Todd Barton said. “This will be an excellent event not only for those seeking employment, but for anyone looking to move up in the workforce and take advantage of the many opportunities those employers have available.”

Hundreds of jobs remain vacant in Montgomery County. To date, 26 employers are registered to participate in the upcoming job fair. Organizers expect many more employers to register before the event later this month. Participants range from manufacturing, commercial services, IT, banking, local government, education and law enforcement.

Any employers interested in participating may do so by contacting Cheryl Morphew at cmorphew@crawfordsville-in.gov. Deadline to register is Aug. 16.
