A Crawfordsville man was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and resisting law enforcement after a short traffic pursuit Sunday.
At approximately 1:07 a.m., Crawfordsville Police Officer Lawyer Wintin attempted to perform a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding and other driving behaviors on U.S. 231 North when the driver of the vehicle refused to stop and accelerated away at a high rate of speed.
After a short pursuit, the vehicle crashed in the area of Lafayette Avenue and Garden Street. The sole occupant of the vehicle, Kyle Fagan, 35, of Crawfordsville was treated for minor injuries and jailed.
