Crawfordsville XC does well at Grand Prix

Crawfordsville, Fountain Central, and North Montgomery were all in action on Saturday at the Fountain Central Grand Prix. The Athenians had several dominating individual performances, and placed third overall in the boy’s standings, and second for the girls.

In the boy’s race, Drake Hayes was second overall out of 74 runners in a time of 16:53. Hunter Hutchison was eighth overall in 17:32, while Cole Watt was 14th in 18:31. Devin Burris placed 17th with a time of 18:40, while Nathaniel Million was 36th in 20:11. Roman Contreras was 38th, and Sam Decker 45th.

Madison Fry raced to a first place finish in the girl’s race with a time of 19:56. Halle Smith was eighth in a time of 22:14, while Elyse Widmer was ninth in 22:15. Shelby Green was 17th in 23:19, while Olivia Biddle was 19th overall in 23:40. Olivia Fichter was 49th overall.

For Fountain Central, the boys were sixth as team, led by Carson Pietrzak’s 17th place finish in 17:58. Justin Butts was 27th in 19:25, while Kyle Mellady was 31st in 19:49, and Jacob Rice 34th in 20:00. Nathan Solomon was 39th, Dan Adams 42nd. On the girl’s side, Kenna Bible led the way with a 32nd place finish in 25:50. Courtney Sims was 33rd, Tyler Bowling 35th, and Angela Gonzalez 39th. Cassidy Norman placed 45th.

Clair Bonwell led North Montgomery’s girl’s team with a 25th place finish in 24:35, while Lydia LaChance was 52nd, Hannah Littell 53rd, Sarah Brown 55th, and Mackenzie Stage 56th. Elijah McCartney led the boys with a 16th place finish in a time of 18:38, while Dakota Scott was 43rd in 20:49. KC Isbell placed 65th, Treyce Pittman 68th, and Adam Coon 69th.
