Cville, North announce ticket options for fall sports

Posted

In guidance with the CDC, Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb and the Montgomery County Health Department, a spectator limit has been put in place for high school athletic events across the county.

Earlier this week, the Crawfordsville and North Montgomery athletic departments released information regarding tickets for those events.

“We will be limited in our seating capacity at home events and our main focus and goal is to take care of the safety of our student athletes and second to make sure their families can attend events to watch their child perform in the athletic arena,” Crawfordsville athletic director Bryce Barton said.

Fans will notice some seating that is sectioned off, and fans are asked to sit together as families and remin at least six feet from other family units.

Masks are required for entry at all interscholastic sporting events in Montgomery County.

Reaching capacity limits is not likely to occur at soccer and volleyball games at this time, so tickets will be sold at the door, as well as online.

Crawfordsville online ticket sales can be found at https://gofan.co/app/school/IN542, while North Montgomery anticipates its online ticket option to be available by next week.

For home football games, both schools expect to sell out before game time.

At North Montgomery online ticket sales will be made available first for the family of football players, cheerleaders and band members, while North Montgomery High School students will get secondary opportunity to purchase tickets. If tickets still remain they will then be made available to the public.

At North Montgomery, they will accept Senior Citizen and Alumni passes for all home events except for varsity football games.

At Crawfordsville, parents will have first priority for tickets, before they are opened up to the visiting team and to community members. They anticipate to use a lottery system for CHS students to have the ability to purchase a ticket for varsity football games.

Both Crawfordsville and North Montgomery open up their home football schedule on Friday, Aug. 28.

Seating capacity at this time is 250 for soccer and volleyball, and 500 for football (250 for home and 250 for visitors).

Concession stands will be open and serving pre-packaged items. Restrooms will also be open, but fans are encouraged to stagger their usage and to continue social distancing throughout the event.

A reminder that masks are required for entry to sporting events.

Most importantly, if you have symptoms of COVID-19, you are asked to stay at home.

Another change added this year, is tickets for all varsity athletic events will be $6.
