Darla E. Goins Dukes, 63, of Crawfordsville passed away Sunday, Nov. 17, 2019, at home, while surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Nov. 6, 1956, at Crawfordsville, to the late Frank Jr. and Lena Mae (Johnson) Goins.
Darla graduated from North Montgomery High School and was a loving mother, homemaker and caregiver. She was married to Roy Clayton. They later divorced. She then married Bradley J. Dukes. He preceded her in death Sept. 9, 2016. She enjoyed cooking and loved shopping, especially yard sales and thrift shops. She enjoyed interior design, crafting and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her four children, Brandy (J.T) Booe, Heidi (Jack) Clayton Gearlds, Megan (Damon) Albright and Brooke Clayton; her granddaughter, Aaliyah, who she raised as her own; three siblings, Rebecca (Felipe) Martinez, Shelia Scott and Roberta “Sis” Gwen Goins; 11 grandchildren, Alana, Angel, Zakk, Miles, Justin, Kadee, Emma, Jackie, Hannah, Aubrey and Braden; and four great-grandchildren, Petra, Sophia, Embry and Thea; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Roy Clayton and Bradley Dukes; and sister Ramona Thomas.
Visitation will be at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S. Washington St, Crawfordsville, on Saturday, Nov. 23 from noon until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m., with Pastor Mike Whitacre officiating. Burial will follow at Wallace Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
