Deanna Lee (Snider) Long, 82, passed away Thursday, Dec. 24, 2020, at Franciscan Health Indianapolis, due to complications of COVID-19. She had been a resident of Lane House, Crawfordsville.

She was born March 18, 1938, at Crawfordsville, to Arthur and Galalla (Harrison) Snider.

She was a 1957 graduate of Crawfordsville High School. She was married to Grover H. Long from 1959 to 1982. She was a life-long member of Browns Valley Christian Church.

Deanna worked at several jobs during her life, but especially loved being the cook at the Kappa Sigma fraternity house at Wabash College for years. She also enjoyed working at the Crawfordsville Target store for many years until it closed in 2005.

Deanna is survived by her children, Kim Long of Roachdale, Kelley (Charles) Simpson of Darlington, Kathy Eads of Indianapolis, Laura (Tim) McGee of Benton Harbour, Michigan, Todd (Audra) Long of Waveland, Jenny (Bruce) Zimmerman of Oswego, Illinois, and John (Julie) Long of New Carlisle; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant sons (Scott and Kent); sister Nancy (Snider) Bannister; and brothers, Jack Snider and Dennis Snider.

Private services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 29, with Tim McGee officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill North Cemetery. Hunt & Son Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
